Hahah I don't know, I was searching for a title and this song came to my mind ("Brothers Under The Sun", by Bryan Adams). Because you know, Anakin and Ahsoka's sibling bond
Anyway! This didn't happen for a specific reason. I've just started using my first sketchbook, one of those little Moleskines... and I wanted it to start with something regarding Anakin and Ahsoka!
I know there are a lot of mistakes with her character, though...she's totally off model (haven't drawn her in quite a long time, sadly, and didn't have references) and she's definitely too tall. In my mind, Anakin was meant to be way more bent towards her, making their height difference correct, but I'm not used in drawing in such a little sketchbook as I always use A4 paper, and so... yeah, I kinda lost track of proportions and poses while I was working :/ oh well, there's still time to improve, I hope
Being in a sketchbook, this was drawn in pencil, inked with a brush pen (first time using one of those to ink, much fun!) and colored with Copic markers I have to practice a lot with those, but I think this looks a bit nicer in terms of colors when compared to this old sketch card I did last year: [link]
AND BTW The Clone Wars is giving me MANY FEELS and I don't know how to handle them, seriously that show is freakin' awesome and they better keep on going this way because WHOA.
About Disney buying Lucasfilm: as long as TCW still keeps on being awesome and in making brave writing choices, then it's okay. I'm totally focused on TCW right now, as long as it stays save, I'm fine. TCW apart, I'm just curious. Curious to see what will happen, and how this.. Episode VII is going to be. I'm one of those who can't get enough of Star Wars stuff, and guys, it's way too early to start judging or being negative or close minded about this. I say, let's wait and see
Hope you enjoy this little sketch anyway. I'm sorry I can't post more decent stuff :/
When they first introduced Ahsoka, I found her an annoying twee brat. However, I thought she would be useful for Anakin to grow attached to, and then die while he watched helplessly, to push him closer to the Dark Side. His motivation has been Harm To Women: his mom, his secret wife. Why not his apprentice - oops, I mean, his Padawan?
But now...
Now I don't want that.
(But I still don't want to see her showing up in Episode VII.)
AWWWW! Yesh, I live the brother-sister thing with them.
As far as Disney getting SW goes, I"m only nervous for two reasons: 1) Episode VII is supposed to be totally original, not following any of the EU, so unless it can work into the rest of the EU most fans will refuse to accept it as canon, and 2) A friend of mine heard they're trying to decide which character(s) should die in the films, and they've considered Leia going down fighting and Luke sacrificing himself to save the next generation. I don't know if that's true or not, but if they kill Luke the fans will revolt. There's something like a 50-year gap in the EU where we know Luke died, but no one knows how. I think the authors are all afraid to write Luke's death because of the fans.
Wow girl, you're making amazing stuff. I ultimately share your opinion about Star Wars. I also can't get enough of it. TCW is about to reach its culmination, I hope the 21st of December won't jeopardize anything. Oh and about Disney/Lucasfilm - I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by whatever they are planning.
I just finished watching season 4 of TCW and now I'm biting my nails for season 5 (but I'll be waiting until it's out in Germany although that probably means waiting another year). I just really care for these two and don't want it to end. Both because I'm afraid it'll end badly for Ahsoka and because I enjoy seeing Anakin as an (admittedly flawed) hero. Your art keeps capturing what I like about these two and always makes me happy. Thank you so much for sharing!

Nobody can take that away.
STAR WARS FOREVER
